Fretheim Hotel Review

The 4-star Fretheim Hotel is located a few steps from the historic district of Flam at a distance of 550 metres from Njord Sea Kayak. Featuring a lounge bar, various recreational opportunities, a spacious garden, and a play area, this original-style hotel is only a few minutes from Flamsbana Railway.

A day at the Fretheim begins with a free breakfast. The elegant bar is also available. Toget Cafe is a short way from the property and specialises in European cuisine.

Surrounded by gardens and a fjord, the property is in the shopping area, very close to the micro AEgir Bryggeri Brewery. A historic neighbourhood, where the Fretheim Flam sits, grants access to cultural attractions like Flaamsbana Museet Museum, which is about 10 minutes away by car.

Also, the accommodation is at a distance of 2.5 km from Brekkefossen.

Some of the 116 en suite rooms at this Flam property are furnished with a sofa set and a writing desk, and appointed with tea and coffee making equipment. They are decorated with antique furniture. The private bathrooms include a separate toilet, and amenities such as a hairdryer and bathrobes. These spacious units also feature views of the valley. Guests are welcome to use a kitchenette with an electric kettle, fridges, and an oven in an appartement.

Fretheim Hotel is close to a railway station and Flam stasjon bus stop is about 5 minutes' walk away.

Ski facilities feature ski equipment and a ski pass. Staff can arrange diving, hiking, and cycling.
